Christmas Blessings 2020

Posted by Lisa Landry on

Hi Friends! Christmas is almost upon us. 2020 had a few more curveballs than most for sure. I hope that you found peace in my paintings and had fun in our online events.

 The Journey

Owning a small business that is truly my own, can be difficult sometimes. I work a full-time job in another industry that takes a completely different skill set than art and marketing.

I've been very reflective this 2020. It was already a milestone for me as I celebrated 30 years as a cancer survivor. What had I done with that time? What had my life become? Oh yeah, I was asking myself deep questions this year.

A Message

I had 4 things that I wanted to share that my own values and beliefs support to be truth. I am a Christian and I hope that you don't mind a message to close out the year that puts the Reason for the Season at the center of it all.

These are 4 things that I learned are always true…

1. Prayer is Powerful

"Pray with joy, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" (Phil 1:6).

Know that you are not alone. Jesus is our comforter.

2. God Provides

“The Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me besides still waters, He refreshes my soul” (Psalm 23). Jesus provides eternal nourishment and hope. We are made new in His death. I am redeemed.

3. God is my Protector

“I lift my eyes to the mountains--where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of Heaven & Earth” (Psalm 121). If He is for me, who can be against me?

4. Give thanks

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).  Count your blessings.

Merry Christmas and Cheers to 2021!

The best is yet to come!
